Your baby’s safety is non-negotiable. Fully vaccinated, experienced in safe newborn posing, and always working within your baby’s comfort. Every setup is checked before your baby goes into it.

From Booking to Final Gallery

Book During Pregnancy

The best window for newborn photography is the first ten to fourteen days after birth. Babies sleep deeply, curl naturally, and are easiest to settle. I recommend reaching out during your third trimester so your spot is held in advance.

Pre-Session Chat

Whether we are in the studio or outdoors, the focus is on you feeling celebrated. I guide you gently, we take breaks, and we move at your pace.

The Session

Sessions run up to four hours. That is the sweet spot, enough time to follow baby’s lead, cover everything you want, and still have everyone leave feeling good. We go at baby’s pace, nothing is forced. Have more questions about timing? [See FAQ]

Prints & Delivery

Every image is edited carefully. You review your favourites in a private online gallery. Final images delivered within ten business days, high resolution and print-ready.

Your Questions Answered

The sweet spot is between 5 and 14 days old. At this stage babies sleep deeply and curl naturally into those tiny poses. After three weeks it becomes harder to get the classic newborn look. I recommend booking while you are still pregnant so your spot is held in advance.

Book during your third trimester. I use your due date as a placeholder and confirm the exact date once baby arrives.

Not at all. After two weeks we move into lifestyle newborn territory — less curled posing, more natural moments with mum, dad and siblings. The photos are just as beautiful, just a different feel. Get in touch and we will work out what suits your baby’s age best.

No travel fee. I come to you across Upper North Shore, Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and Hills District at no extra charge.

My studio is in Mount Colah in the Hornsby area. For home visits I travel to Wahroonga, Gordon, Pymble, Turramurra, St Ives, Berowra, Asquith, Waitara, Ryde, Eastwood, Chatswood, Mosman, Manly and surrounding suburbs. Not sure if your area is included? Just ask.

Yes. Outdoor sessions are a relaxed lifestyle format — think a quiet walk, natural light, baby in arms, siblings running around. It is less about posed newborn shots and more about your family in a real moment. These sessions are priced under my family photography packages.

Sessions run up to four hours. That is enough time to follow baby’s lead, cover all the setups you want, and have everyone leave feeling good rather than worn out. We never rush.

We work around it. Feeds, nappy changes, cuddles, settling time are all part of the process. If baby is genuinely unwell we reschedule within the available newborn window at no charge.

That is completely normal. Not every baby cooperates with wrapped posing and we never force it. If baby wants to be held, we do parent and baby shots. If they want to look around, we capture that. The session adapts to your baby, not the other way around.

Yes, and it is one of my favourite combinations. My Bump to Baby package covers both your maternity session and your newborn session together at a reduced rate. Booking both with the same photographer means a consistent style across your whole story, from pregnancy through to your baby’s first days. Newborn sessions need to happen within the first two weeks after birth, so having everything planned in advance makes it much easier. Just get in touch and we will organise everything together.

Yes. If you have something in mind get in touch at least two months before your session and I can source props or put together a setup to match your vision.

I am happy to try any pose you have in mind. That said, not every baby can get into every position. The frog pose, for example, looks simple but not all newborns are flexible enough for it safely. I never force a baby into a pose their body is not ready for. If the pose does not work on the day, we find something just as beautiful that does.

Yes. All props, wraps and surfaces are cleaned and sanitised between every session. Items that cannot be properly sanitised are not reused back to back.

Nothing essential. I provide all props, wraps and outfits for baby. If you have a family heirloom or special blanket you want to include, bring it along. For yourself, neutral tones work best — whites, creams, soft greys.

Yes. I remove temporary blemishes and can gently soften skin redness if you would like. Just let me know your preference before we start and I will keep the editing in line with what feels right for you.

It depends on your package. Essential includes 10 high resolution images, Complete includes 20, and Full Collection gives you the full gallery. All images are delivered in both colour and black and white. You receive a private online gallery to choose your favourites from. Final images are delivered within 10 business days.

It is a combined maternity and newborn booking. You get your maternity session during pregnancy and your newborn session in the first two weeks after birth, same photographer, same style throughout. Booking both in advance means everything is organised before baby arrives. Ask about bundle pricing when you get in touch.
