These are images from past sessions. Not all are from jacaranda mini session, some are from full sessions too. I can’t promise the exact same background for your mini shoot. So much depends on the day, the light, the weather, and how busy the spot is. I choose the angles as we go. If there’s a particular background or shot you really want, please tell me before the session. I can’t guarantee it in a mini, but I’ll always do my best to give you the best result I can. If you have something very specific in mind, a full session is the better option since we have more time and flexibility

What It Cost Last Season

Last season the jacaranda mini was $180.
That was an $80 booking fee, non refundable, paid at reservation,
plus $100 for the digital images after the shoot.
Pricing for the new season will be announced closer to the dates.

Parramatta usually runs on the second weekend, a bit earlier than Hornsby, since the blooms here tend to come out first. Exact dates land closer to September and are announced by email first.

All the Parramatta sessions happen at Parramatta Park. A couple of days before your session I’ll email you the exact meeting spot, along with where to park and where the toilets are, so you arrive with everything you need. You can find opening hours and directions on the Parramatta Park website.

I choose the best backgrounds on the day based on the light and where the blooms are strongest. If there’s a certain look you’re hoping for, tell me before we start and I’ll do what I can.

f it’s a light drizzle, we’ll still go ahead. I have clear umbrellas that make for pretty photos in the rain, and there’s a lovely gazebo in the park where we can keep shooting if it picks up. The shots might look a little different from the usual sunny ones, but they still come out beautiful. If it really pours, I’ll reschedule. If the new date doesn’t suit you, you can put your booking toward a full session or another mini.

Soft, simple tones work best against the purple. If you’re not sure, I’m happy to send you a guide. You can also lay your outfits out flat, snap a photo, and I’ll tell you what will look good on the day.

Yes, but keep in mind a jacaranda mini session is only 20 minutes and no time for a big set up. Balloons are easy to bring. Laying out a blanket, a picnic, or building a whole scene isn’t really doable in that time.

There are 10 spots per date, and they go fast.

Not for minis. In Parramatta I only run the group mini dates, no individual ones. If you want your own time, a full session is the way to go, and the park has a stunning spot I save just for those.
