Mini photo sessions in Hornsby run only on set dates at one location. They are short, seasonal and booked as spots, not as a full session. Four times a year I open mini sessions: jacaranda season in Hornsby, jacaranda season in Parramatta, Mother’s Day at Fagan Park and Christmas mini in Mount Colah.

Usually the second or third Sunday of November in Hornsby, near Westfield, when the jacarandas are in full bloom. This is the only mini session I can also arrange by appointment. An extra location fee of $30 applies 2026 season.

A mini session is a short seasonal shoot, around 20 minutes, on set dates at one location. You book a spot in the day rather than a private booking, which makes it quick and affordable.

The price depends on the season and the type of session. Each season has its own price and what is included.

Jacaranda sessions run in Hornsby and Parramatta, Mother’s Day at Fagan Park, and Christmas minis in Mount Colah, near Hornsby. Each session has one set location.

Parramatta is usually the first or second Sunday of November, and Hornsby the second or third Sunday, when the trees bloom. Parramatta blooms a little earlier.

Mini sessions run on set time slots, so I can only use the time left in yours. Please arrive a few minutes early. If a slot opens up later that day I may be able to fit you in, but that could mean a long wait.

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome at the outdoor sessions like the jacaranda and autumn shoots. Just let me know in advance so I can plan for it.

Yes, with pleasure, and congratulations. You are welcome to use a jacaranda or Mother’s Day mini session for maternity photos. I would not really recommend the Christmas setup for maternity, but if you love the look of the little house, it is completely up to you.
